This bear carving in the aspen tree was along the driveway easement to Tract 4. I first saw this carving in 1995 or 1996 and it had been there for a long time at that point. When we listed tract 5 and 6 next door a year ago or so we took this photo, but not long after that we noticed that the tree died and it fell over. It was such a unique carving and it evoked memories of times gone by. Old Shorty’s cabin was near by and we always thought that the caretaker of this property, old Shorty, carved this bear in the Aspen tree but that was just a guess. Could have been a hunter or anyone for that matter.
If you have an artist touch you can carve your own bear in an Aspen on Aspen Rose Ranch Tract 4 and we can help you make that happen. Just give us a call and let’s go explore Tract 4 on Aspen Rose Ranch soon.
