Santa Fe Trail Ranch Parcel 43 is located at the north end of this beautiful Ranch. This property is in a very private location although there are homes on neighboring parcels the building site for this property is situated about as far away from the homes as you can get.
With that said this is assuming that you build in the easiest location but there are other excellent building locations if you want to get to them. Choices are good. If you look on the topo map below you will see to the left of the red #43 in the bottom left corner of the parcel, to the left of the arrow, this spot that we think would be the easiest to build on with a short drive and power/water runs. This is where the views are just spectacular.
To be honest we have not explored this property to the north much farther than this building site and along the ranch road, there was just too much snow still down some of the slopes to do much exploring right now during winter. But I can tell you from experience on this ranch that this is the type of property that has a lot of character and will have many places to explore and enjoy. It is certainly hike-able, the entire 35 acres but some areas are steeper.
Most 35 acres in this area are very much like this property in that you have a really good building site with 1 to 5 acres of usable ground (this one has 1 acre or less here....) with good access and views and the rest is hike-able if you wish to. But what you look for is a property like this that has easy convenient access to a building site. Long drives, water and power pulls are costly but you also don't want to be sitting on the road. This property has the perfect combination of access and views.
I can just imagine a beautiful home here with views to the west of the snowcapped Sangre de Cristos and the very special Spanish Peaks. And to the east you have the majestic Fisher's Peak and Raton Mesa views. To the north you have Trinidad and the city lights are not so overwhelming as they are comforting in the distance. Just wondering what the folks in town are doing with their daily lives...lights on and off. It really is a romantic setting.
If this property was one acre only in Santa Fe New Mexico you would pay more than this for it but this is 35 of the most beautiful "Santa fe" type acres in this area!
Plus this ranch has all the goodies, including city supplied water, hard line phone and really good maintained gravel roads. We can explain all the details on the city water and the ranch when we speak but know this: finding a 35 acre property in the mountains with city water is almost never going to happen again in this county or area and to have hard line phone is pretty special too as many ranches in this area will never have hardline phone because of the costs. And good road maintenance is a blessing....you would have to live in the mountains to understand what I am talking about. Bottom line is that I can take you to other parts of this county and sell you a property for the same money but it might only have power. We know the value of what this ranch has to offer so be sure to take a good long hard look at this ranch! We are property owners on this ranch for this reason, we invested in this ranch because we know the value.
Take a look at the rest of the information and photos of this property here. This is all we have to share on this now but if you have specific questions please contact us by email or phone and we will be happy to assist you.
Google Earth
If you have a GPS or want to use Google Earth you can put in Latitude 37° 5'47.18"N and Longitude 104°33'14.09"W and that will get you on the property near the building site.
Panoramic Photo
I was able to grab a few photos and create a Panoramic Photo for you to enjoy. When you bring it up you may need to click the photo to enlarge it. Look for a magnifying glass with a plus sign.
I took this photo from the building site near the main ranch road so this is the view that you will get from your home. But that is not all, this is only the western view and you have more spectacular views to the north and Fishers Peak to the east. Just Incredible views from this property!
